How does QRblender work?
QR blender allows you to make your own custom branded QR code in minutes, on your own, without any human interaction. First enter the destination URL that you want people to go to when they scan your QR code, then save it to your profile with a unique name. Design your QR code with our design palette, upload an image and adjust it according to the percentage bar in the top right of the design tab. Then pay for the plan that you want to activate your QR code so that it's scannable.
How do I resize/move my image that I uploaded?
It's simple, to resize the image just click and hold one of the blue boxes in the corner of the image, and drag it to the desired size. To move the image, click, hold and move the cursor in the center of the image and place it where you'd like. Keep your eye on the red/green progress percentage bar in the top right, let it guide you to size and place the image in a good spot on the QR code.
Is the progress percentage bar 100% accurate?
In a short answer, no. The progress bar algorithm is the most highly efficient QR algorithm in the world for image detection. Our patent pending algorithm was developed a genius from MIT who is one of the Co-Founders of QR Blender. We strongly suggest that you test your QR code by scanning it yourself before you place it on any marketing materials or anything else, the progress bar is a guide to help you get the image in the closest ratio that we can get with automated detection.
What's the deal with the pricing and plans?
The price points are made so that you get a better value if you buy in bulk. The fees are monthly recurring charges and will automatically be billed to your credit card on file. If your credit card info isn't updated or the charge cannot go through, your QR codes on that account will become inactive and will not take people to your destination URL. The free plan that every account gets, one per account, will allow you to try out our service and have a QR scan to your final destination with no issues. The free account does not provide you with any analytic data though. Once you pay for an account, your QR codes will be active and will also provide the analytic data.
What happens when I'm done with my QR code and want to make it inactive?
Just select deactivate QR under the QR details page for that specific QR code, and all scans will then redirect to our inactive QR page.
How do I remove the background from my logo or image?
To do this you will need to either have your designer remove it and save it as a png or gif file, or you can learn how to do it by going to youtube and typing in "how to remove a photo background". In all cases you will need to use a software such as photoshop or another type of image editing softwaree. Your best bet is to contact your designer and have them take care of it and send it to you.
Some of the design stuff is acting funny, what can I do?
The first thing that you should do is make sure that you are on a high speed data connection. If your internet is slow, some of the design palettes will not function properly. These are elements are doing a lot of image processing in the background over the web, so it takes a fast connection to be optimized.
Can I change the destination URL/Link after I have designed and printed or saved my QR code?
Yes. You can change the destination URL for any active QR code on your account by going to the details tab under that QR code's options.
How do I save my QR code to my computer after I've designed it and activated it?
In order to save your QR code it must be an "active" QR code, so you can use the free one, or any paid active one. After the QR is activated you will see a "Download QR code image to your computer" link on the bottom portion of both the "details" and "design" tabs for that QR code. Once you click on this, you will see your QR code in the tab, just right click (command+click for mac) and save it to your computer.
Can I download different sizes of my QR code?
Not yet, we are in Beta right now, but different size downloads will be available in our next update, coming very soon. If you need your QR code larger than the download option currently provided, use our contact link and email us, we will work with you.
Can I change the color of the text that I choose on the design tab?
Not yet, this will also be released in our next update!
Hit the contact us link or email us at QRblender@gmail.com to send us any questions or feedback. Since we are in Beta testing mode, we would appreciate all feedback. Keep in mind that we may be working out some bugs on the design side during our initial public testing phase, so be patient, and report any issues that you have to our contact email.
